Social Work (Humanities/Social Science)

Social Work’s main goal is to work for the welfare of society, communities and individuals, especially for the underprivileged. Professionals who carry out the social work are termed as Social Workers. The field of social work spans across multiple career options.

Post 12th Grade

Internship in social work is as important a part of the curriculum as theory papers. This field is practice-oriented and this experience can only be gained if students learn to interact properly with individuals, groups and communities. The remuneration in this field mostly depends upon the organization in which one works, their experience and the area of work. One could get an initial pay of Rs. 7,000 to 9,000 per month depending on the organization, initially.
